During the Market:
03.40 pm. Nifty has closed at 5032 with a net gain of 90 points over previous close. The market breadth has remained supportive and Advance/Decline by close was at 42/8. The top gainers of the session were TATASTEEL, BHARTIARTL, TATAMOTORS, while the top losers were HEROHONDA, PNB, MARUTI, UNITECH & SBIN.

02.17 pm. Nifty is at 5032 trading 92 points plus. It has come off the highs of the day 5066 level but the market breadth remains good. Advance/Decline at 45/5. The top gainers are SUZLON, TATASTEEL, BHARTIARTL, TATAMOTORS & HINDALCO, while the top losers are POWERGRID, HEROHONDA, PNB, SBIN & SUNPHARMA.

01.40 pm. Nifty has made a high after getting a positive cue of incremental GDP growth figures. Our GDP has grown 7.9% from 6.1% Qt II (Quarter to Quarter).

11.49 am. Nifty at 5036 after making a high of 5043, market breadth being positive and stable. The Advance/Decline is at 47/3. The top gainers are TATAMOTORS, TATASTEEL, SUZLON, STER & HINDALCO, while the top losers are POWERGRID, GRASIM & SBIN.

10.15 am. Nifty has opened with strength keeping in stride with other Asian markets which have also opened positive. Nifty has made a high of 5028 with broad market base, the Advance/Decline is supportive at 47/3. The top gainers are SUZLON, TATAMOTORS, HINDALCO, PASSOCIAT & STER, the top losers are POWERGRID, BPCL, HDFCBANK.

During the Market:
03.40 pm. Nifty closed at 4941 with a loss of 63 points. Nifty started poorly but in the late stages developed some confidence and covering of shorts helped it to regain some of the lost ground. The market breadth remained negative and Advance/Decline could recover to 12/38. The top gainers were SUZLON, RANBAXY, UNITECH, BPCL & GAIL, while the top losers were SIEMENS, IDFC, AXISBANK, AMBUJACEM & JPASSOCIAT.

02.43 pm. Some sense is returning back, statements of India Inc. top managers categorically have diluted the impact of Dubai debt fiasco. People should realize that Indian economy is more insulated than any of the global economies, this has been proven time and again. Indian economy would be the least impacted economies looking into the amount of exposure and inherent strength. Nifty is now trading at 4929 with Advance/Decline at 7/43. The top gainers are SUZLON, RANBAXY, BPCL, CIPLA & BHARTIARTL, while the top losers are SIEMENS, IDFC, JPASSOCIAT, LT & AXISBANK.

12.39 pm. Nifty is trading totally negative with Advance/Decline having only one share advancing and all the rest declining. The lone advancing stock is RANBAXY. The Dubai debt problem has created such a havoc specially for reality sector as if all their investments were in Dubai or they were having some foreign interests. The Dubai episode has provided the much needed excuse for correction.

10.20 am. Nifty at 4889, it has touched a new low of 4865 with market breadth ruling negative with Advance/Decline at 6/44. The top gainers are RANBAXY, BPCL, SUNPHARMA, WIPRO & SUZLON, while the top losers are SIEMENS, DLF, ICICIBANK, LT & IDFC.

09.58 am. Asian markets have opened on a weak note. Nifty has also opened weak and made a low of 4887, market breadth is negative with Advance/Decline at 3/47. Nifty is moving sideways after the weak start, presenting a unique opportunity for cherry picking.

During the Market:
03.40 pm. Nifty closed at 5005 with a loss of 102 points. Nifty touched a low of 4986 during the late part of the session and the market breadth remained in negative throughout. The F&O expiry saw squaring off the positions in apprehension of low key global economic scenario.The top gainers were RANBAXY, SUNPHARMA, TATAPOWER, HEROHONDA & HINDUNILVR, while the top losers were RELIANCE. ICICIBANK, RELCAPITAL, TATASTEEL & MARUTI.

02.58 pm. It appears that Nifty may be pushed lower as far as possible to facilitate taking fresh positions for new  series tomorrow at the lows. Anyway, this presents as an opportunity for those sitting at the sidelines.

02.24 pm. Nifty has made a low of 5024 and Advance/Decline at 9/41. It is expected that fresh buying may take place now onwards. This is the opportunity to pick stocks.

02.00 pm. Nifty is experiencing continuous selling pressure despite positive global cues to begin with, although European counterparts have now opened weak. Nifty is currently at 5052 with a negative breadth and Advance/Decline at 16/34. The top gainers are HINDALCO, IDEA, HEROHONDA, BHARTIARTL & ACC, while the top losers are TATASTEEL, TATAMOTORS, ICICIBANK, JINDALSTEL & SBIN.

10.14 am. This is a good opportunity to pick reality stocks.

10.03 am. Nifty opened weak to drop to 5079 and thereafter is moving with a negative bias at 5094. The market breadth is having a negative inclination with Advance/Decline at 24/26. 03.40 pm. Nifty closed with a gain of 17 points at 5108, which is a nearly a flat close. Today's performance of Nifty can largely be attributed to F&O expiry tomorrow, the real picture will emerge tomorrow. The market breadth remained positive throughout the session. The top gainers were BPCL, GAIL, HEROHONDA, ITC & MARUTI, while the top losers were DLF, SUZLON, UNITECH, RELCAPITAL & JINDALSTEL.

02.33 pm. Nifty is currently trading around 5110 and due to profit booking had dipped to 5098. The market breadth is still positive as Advance/Decline is at 30/20. Nifty may probably close around 5118. The top gainers are BPCL, AMBUJACEM, GAIL, HEROHONDA & ACC, while the top losers are DLF, RELCAPITAL, UNITECH, SUZLON & JPASSOCIAT. The reality stocks are the most hammered ones.

01.44 pm. A bout of profit taking is taking place , Nifty is down to 5118. Advance/Decline reducing to 35/15.

12.40 pm. Nifty at 5126 after making a high of 5138. its consolidating at these levels with expectation of continuing its move upwards to near 5180.

11.35 am. Nifty has moved steadily to touch a high of 5133 and at present the market breadth is wide with Advance/Decline at 42/8 denoting a good strength for Nifty. Nifty may be exhibiting volatility on account of tomorrow's expiry. The top gainers are BPCL, GAIL, SAIL, RELIANCE & MARUTI, while the top losers are ICICIBANK, HCLTECH, TATAPOWER, RELINFRA & JPASSOCIAT.

10.06 am. Nifty opened weak in congruence with the global cues and touched a low of 5078, but quickly became resilient and has made a high of 5099 and market breadth also turned positive with Advance/Decline at 34/16. The top gainers are BPCL, MARUTI, HEROHONDA, M&M & UNITECH, while the top losers are ICICIBANK, HCLTECH, BHARTIARTL, CAIRN & TCS.

03.40 pm. Nifty has closed at 5090 amidst intervening profit taking bouts, but more or less the session was consolidation type. The global markets were negative in-spite of it Nifty could manage at this type of closing speaks of strength and mood. The market breadth remained negative for most part of the session. The top gainers were MARUTI, BHARTIARTL, BPCL,  M&M & HEROHONDA, while the top losers were TATASTEEL, JINDALSTEL, IDFC, POWERGRID & RELINFRA.

02.25 pm. Nifty at 5085 and Advance/Decline at 17/33 denoting a negative market breadth. Its leading towards the flat closing. The top gainers are M&M, MARUTI, BPCL, BHARTIARTL & HEROHONA, while the top losers are IDFC, JINDALSTEL, TATASTEEL, ITC & STER.

12.46 pm. Nifty is trading in the negative zone at 5068 and has made a low of 5053. It appears another day of consolidation.

11.01 am. Nifty Opened on a positive note and touched a high of 5112 but could not sustain and dropped down to make a low of 5084 and thereafter is trading at 5100. The Advance/Decline at 26/24. The top gainers are MARUTI, M&M, BHARTIARTL, CIPLA & HEROHONDA, while the top losers are POWERGRID, IDFC, JINDALSTEL, HDFCBANK & GAIL.

03.40 pm. Nifty closed at 5103 recording a gain of 51 points over previous close. Nifty consolidated from strength to strength helped by positive global sentiment particularly European. Most of the session was consisting of sideways movement but the market breadth remained positive throughout.The top gainers were HCLTECH, GAIL, CIPLA, TATASTEEL & ITC, while the top losers were BHARTIARTL, IDEA, JPASSOCIAT, RCOM & UNITECH.

02.21 pm. Nifty at 5099 with a positive market breadth, Advance/Decline at 35/15. The top gainers are HCLTECH, RLIANCE, ITC, ACC & CIPLA, hile the top losers are BHARTIARTL, IDEA, SUZLON, JPASSOCIAT & POWERGRID.

10.17 am. Nifty has opened with mild strength, after touching a high of 5085 its trading at 5070 making effort to keep the morning gains. The Advance/Decline is at 37/13. The top gainers are GRASIM, CIPLA, RELIANCE. NTPC & SIEMENS, while the top losers are BHARTIARTL, HINDALCO, IDEA, INFOSYSTCH & RCOM.

03.40 pm. Nifty after a week long of ups and down has come back to square one at 5052 with a gain of 63 points over previous close. The short covering resulted in pull back in the last part of the session. The recovery was fueled by positive opening of European bourses. The market breadth also turned positive with Advance/Decline rising to 41/9. The top gainers were ACC, SAIL, HINDALCO, M&M & JPASSOCIATES, while the top losers were RELCAPITAL, SUZLON, RPOWER, BHARTIARTL & HCLTECH.

02.22 pm. Nifty moved daylong in the negative touching a low of 4932 but in the last one hour has spurted not only to trade in positive but to record a high of 5045. The market breadth has turned positive with Advance/Decline at 37/13. The top gainers are ACC, HDFC, SAIL, BPCL & HINDALCO, while the toplosers are SUZLON, RELCAPITAL, BHARTIARTL, RPOWER & UNITECH.

12.01 pm. This appears another dreary day of consolidation, Nifty has been moving in a range for quite some time listlessly.

10.02 am. Nifty has opened with weakness in conformity with the global  cues. Nifty has made a low of 4946 and is trading at 4966 with negative market breadth. The top gainers are SUZLON, POWERGRID, CIPLA, BPCL & NTPC, while the top losers are UNITECH, RELINFRA, ICICIBANK, DLF & M&M.

During the Market:
03.40 pm. Nifty closed at 4989 with a loss of 65 points, it made a low of 4963. The global weakness took its toll by pulling Nifty down coupled with profit taking. The market breadth continuously remained negative throughout the session along-with the Advance/Decline ratio. The sentiment was also further hurt with European counterparts opening in the red. The top gainers were SUZLON, ACC, POWERGRID, HDFC & HINDUNILVR, while the top losers were UNITECH, JPASSOCIAT, RELINFRA, SIEMENS & DLF.  

02.59 pm. This is the time to do the cherry-picking specially in Reality stocks (UNITECH, DLF).

02.47 pm. Nifty breaching all supports have dipped to make a low of 4968 amidst continued selling. The markets have turned absolutely negative with Advance/Decline at a dismal low of 2/48, loosing the hopes of recovery. Its a clear cut sell-off. The next halt for Nifty appears to be at 4950 if short covering doesn't takes place in the last half hour.

01.44 pm. Nifty is at 5023 after making a low of 5008 and market breadth has turned negative with Advance/Decline declining to 11/39. The top gainers are SUZLON, HINDALCO, ACC, POWERGRID & RPOWER, while the top loses are JPASSOCIAT, HCLTECH, SIEMENS, UNITECH & DLF. The short covering is very likely towards the end of the session.

12.55 pm. After a day long traversing in negative zone Nifty may pull back to near previous close to complete another day of consolidation.

12.01 pm. Nifty is trading at 5039 after making a low of 5017. The market breadth is negatively inclined with Advance/Decline at 22/28. The top gainers are SUZLON, RANBAXY, RPOWER, TATAMOTORS & TATASTEEL, while the top losers are JPASSOCIAT, HCLTECH, SIEMENS, UNITECH & BPCL.

03.40 pm. Nifty closed almost flat at 5054 losing 7 points over previous close. The top gainers being IDFC, TATAMOTORS, JINDALSTEL, RANBAXY & ABB, while the top losers were RELINFRA, SUNPHARMA, ICICIBANK, LT,& RELIANCE. It was a grilling session for investors with little to do.

03.22 pm. Nifty at 5056 with flattish Advance/Decline at 24/26. The top gainers are IDFC, TATAMOTORS, JINDALSTEL, ITC & RELCAPITAL, while the top losers are RELINFRA, LT, SUNPHARMA, ICICIBANK & RELIANCE.

02.20 pm. It has turned out to be a boring session with lackluster trading. Nifty operating in a strictly range-bound manner. The market breadth has remained fairly constant.

01.45 pm. Nifty at 5049 and Advance/Decline at 29/21. The top gainers are IDFC, RELCAPITAL, TATAMOTORS, JINDALSTEL & RANBAXY, while the top losers are RELINFRA, LT, ICICIBANK, SUNPHARMA & RELIANCE.

03.40 pm. Nifty saw a bout of short covering near the end of the session after remaining in the red and subdued for the entire day. Nifty closed at 5062 nearly flat. The top gainers were RELCAPITAL, TCS, HEROHONDA, INFOSYSTCH & RELINFRA, while the top losers were  DLF, IDEA, ONGC, ACC & RCOM.

02.02 pm. The weakness of Asian market is overshadowing Nifty which is trading very subdued at 5021 with negative market breadth. The Advance/Decline is at 11/39 with reality stocks taking their toll. European markets have opened in the red after yesterday's positive performance.

12.20 pm. Nifty is forming new lows amidst negative market breadth. Nifty has dipped to 5011 with Advance/Decline dipping to 11/39. Reality stocks are leading the decline.

11.28 am. Nifty has made a new low at 5032 and is trading at 5038, with Advance/Decline at 17/33 defining a negative sentiment inspite of good US and European cues. The top gainers are RELCAPITAL, HEROHONDA, TCS, INFOSYSTCH & WIPRO, wjile the top losers are DLF, UNITECH, SUNPHARMA, IDFC & SUZLON. The markets are ruling subdued.

10.10 am. Nifty opened with positivity and touched 5074, but could not sustain and went down to make a low of 5034. Now its trading at 5046 with negative market breadth, the Advance/Decline is at 19/31. Post-Market Review:
Today Nifty closed on a positive note at 5058 up nearly 59 points over previous close. During the session it became listless as there was narrow movement. Nifty opened on a positive note and held on to its gains aided by positive global cues.

The market breadth was positive with Advance/Decline at 41/9. The top gainers were SUZLON, RPOWER, MARUTI, DLF & HEROHONDA, while the top losers were HCLTECH, TCS, POWERGRID, NTPC & INFOSYSTCH.

Nifty is experiencing a liquidity driven rally and this may continue for this quarter.

11.52 am. Nifty has made a new high of 5009 with wide market breadth with Advance/Decline at 44/6. The top gainers are JINDALSTEL, HCLTECH, TATASTEEL, HEROHONDA & MARUTI, while the top losers are JPASSOCIAT, SUZLON, GAIL, CAIRN & IDEA.

10.30 am. Nifty opened weak but quickly recovered and went up to 4985 with good market breadth.

11.25 am. Nifty has made a new low of 4972 and the market breadth is even with Advance/Decline at 24/26. The top gainers are IDEA, RCOM, BHARTIARTL, SUZLON & SUNPHRMA, while the top losers are UNITECH, TATASTEEL, JPASSOCIAT, RELCAPITAL & STER.

10.10 am. Nifty opened flat and made a high of 5010 but could not sustain and dropped down to 4982 with Advance/Decline at 21/29. The top gainers are SUZLON, IDEA, MARUTI, DLF & INFOSYSTCH, while the top losers are TATASTEEL, POWERGRID, JPASSOCIAT, HDFC & UNITECH. Nifty is likely to spike from here onwards.

During the Market:
03.40 pm. Nifty closed at 5003 with a gain of 122 points recording a growth of 2.5% over previous close. After a brief negative opening Nifty steadily and continuously forged ahead with wide and positive market breadth. It surpassed the psychological barrier of 4950 confidently and continued its northward journey. The top gainers were STER, RELINFRA, JPASSOCIAT, HCLTECH & TATASTEEL, while the top losers were just three BPCL, IDEA & CAIRN.

02.53 pm. Buying across the board is happening, and when small indices start rising its time to book systematic profits.

02.17 pm. Nifty is moving steadily and confidently from strength to strength. It has crossed the resistance of 4950 comfortably and is now trading at 4970. The Advance/Decline is poised positively at 44/6. The top gainers are STER, JPASSOCIAT, TATATMOTORS, RELINFRA & HCLTECH, while the top losers are BPCL, SUZLON, MARUTI, CAIRN & TATAPOWER.

Nifty experienced profit selling at day's high and covering at lows. The market breadth remained negatively inclined throughout the session. Global cues remained thinly positive. The top gainers of the session were TATAMOTORS, AMBUJACEM, CIPLA, SBIN & BPCL, while the top losers were HEROHONDA, BHARTIARTL, DLF, RCOM & HINDUNILVR.

02.30 pm. Nifty hovering around 4880-4892 and may come closer to previous close. The Advance/Decline is at 19/31 and will likely improve.

01.33 pm. Profit taking has brought down the Nifty to 4864 levels. Market breadth is definitely negative with Advance/Decline at 17/33. The top gainers are TATAMOTORS, AMBUJACEM, BPCL, CIPLA & ACC, while the top losers are HEROHONDA, HINDUNILVR, UNITECH, DLF & JPASSOCIAT.
